The formations are fragile, paths are exposed, and shade is limited. Stay on the guide’s route, do not climb the pinnacles, and carry more water than a short photo stop appears to require.

Combining Red Tsingy with Amber Mountain can produce a very long day unless the ship sells a carefully designed tour. An independent combination needs an excellent vehicle, early start, current road intelligence, and a huge return buffer.

Mer d’Émeraude excursions typically require a road transfer toward Ramena followed by a local boat across the bay. Wind and sea state can cancel or redirect the trip, even when the cruise ship is safely berthed.
